We are sure you’ve heard of many places in Udupi. Udupi has long been known for its temples, beaches, educational institutions, and delicious food. However, certain spots in Udupi come alive at night, so Tinton has discovered them, lined them up properly, and created unique packages for our guests so that they can choose which parts they want to see to experience the spectacular Udupi nightlife.
We have something for everyone:
- Beautiful beaches for beach lovers.
- Tranquil sunsets for mountain lovers.
- Temple evenings for religious and heritage enthusiasts.
We’ll provide our list here so you can pick and choose places you would love to visit.
If you grew up in the 1990s and were a fan of the Malgudi Days, here’s something for you. The Agumbe village in the Shimoga district is the fictional village in the series. Our resort is around 45 minutes distant from this gorgeous village in the Western Ghats. So we can get you there just in time to see the sunset over the hills, leaving a shard of colour to accentuate the beauty of the rich green mountains for one last time. Our visitors enjoy the visual delight of being there. There’s also a private sunset viewpoint where you can take in the stunning sunset. Agume is a bundle in and of itself as there is so much to see.
2. Sri Krishna Matha
The beauty of temples in the evening is unfathomable, and it would be a sin not to see them while in Udupi, which is known for its temples in southern India. The Sri Krishna Matha temple, which is only a one-hour drive from Tinton resorts, is one such temple. People travel from all over the world to visit this temple in order to see Lord Krishna. The idol of Lord Krishna is worshipped through Navagruha Kindi, a little window, which is one of the temple’s unique features. The temple is open until 9 p.m. so that you can see Lord Krishna and Sri Krishna Matha. You can also visit the astha matha, which consists of eight matha, including Sri Krishna Matha—taking your own time to explore them all.
If an evening at the beach with seafood is on your mind, we have a list of beaches that you can visit. The Kodi Bengre beach is one of those places where the river and the sea meet. It is a tranquil area because of its isolation from the rest of the world, and it has long been a favourite of our photographer guests and solo travellers. The night journey to and from the beach is very popular among our guests, also is the seafood served with fresh toddy. If you enjoy being around people, then Malpe Beach, which is also an important port and fishing harbour, is the best spot for you. It is one of Udupi’s most popular beaches, with a variety of fun activities to exchange in. If you want to spend quality time with your family, this is the place to go. There’s also a 450-foot-long sea walk that leads to a breathtaking sunset.
Now you know what to expect when visiting Udupi’s beaches. We also have other beach destinations such as Kapu Beach and Maravanthe Beach that you may enjoy with your family and friends. To plan a terrific day and learn more about our Beach package, ring us up.
